Gas & Electricidad S.A. operates in the energy sector of Bolivia since 2001, when it commenced its electrical generation activities with a single thermal generation facility that used natural gas as a fuel. Initially, the company’s mission was to provide electrical energy for the Bolivian cement company SOBOCE, however, since 2005 till nowadays, the company has almost quadruplicated the initial generation capacity of 2001.
