Petrobras Bolivia is the Bolivian subsidiary of Petrobras Brazil, a monpolist in the oil production industry. The Bolivian affiliate was established in 1995 and began its actual operations in 1996. Petrobras in Bolivia is mainly focused on exploration of natural gas, and pipeline transportation. The company has signed a Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with the Bolivian company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YFPB). The contract sets a maximum purchase volume of 30 mln cubic meters of natural gas per day until 2019.
