Operating since 1997, Hermasa emerged from the need for enabling the Northwest Export Corridor, which is drained by grain production in the regions of northwestern Mato Grosso and South Rondonia. Hermasa has one of the largest river fleet in Latin America. Its fleet is monitored by satellite and makes use of electronic charts for navigation. There are more than 130 vessels that help transport the supplies.
