Shanghai RAAS Blood Products Co., Ltd. was jointly founded in May 1988 by US RAAS (Rare Antibody Antigen Supply) and Shanghai Blood Center and reorganized as a limited joint stock company in March 2007. The company was listed on the SME Board of Shenzhen Stock Exchange on June 23, 2008. The company is principally engaged in the research, development, manufacture and distribution of blood products. It provides human albumin, human immunoglobulin for intravenous injection, human coagulation factor, human prothrombin complex, human fibrinogen, human thrombin and human fibrin sealant, among others. The company is the first blood products enterprise that has been granted by GMP certification and ISO9001 quality management system certification in China. Its production follows strictly the requirements of GMP issued by SFDA. It also follows US FDA and WHO guidelines, US Pharmacopoeia and European Pharmacopoeia in the selection, testing and the manufacture of plasma into final products. The company distributes its products in domestic and overseas markets. As of December 31, 2010, the company had 12 subsidiaries, which involved in collection of human blood.
