Banco Credifinanciera is supervised by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia and offers selected credit and savings products to meet the needs of its clients. In September 2011, a group of national and foreign investors acquired the majority shareholding of the Foreign Capital Financing Company named CIT Capita Colombia S.A. This entity started operations in 2008 and was focused on financing companies through leasing operations. After the corresponding approval of said acquisition by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, the new shareholders change their company name to Créditos y Ahorro CREDIFINANCIERA S.A.
