Administradora Colombiana de Pensiones, COLPENSIONES is an industrial and commercial state company organized as a specialized financial institution, part of the Ministry of Labour. Since 2007 it is part of the General Pension System and its purpose is the administration of the Average Pension Regime with Defined Welfare, special welfare benefits and the Savings System for Periodic Financial Benefits. Since 28th of September 2012, the company has taken over the responsibilities of the Instituto de Seguros Sociales –ISS, which has gone under liquidation.
