Yara Colombia S.A. (Colombia)

Yara has production site and sales operations offering mineral fertilizers and industrial chemicals to markets in Colombia. There the company manufactures and offers calcium nitrate, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate and ammonia. The company serves customers in Colombia and Latin America. Yara Colombia S.A. was founded in 1993, when Yara entered the Colombian market, and is based in Barranquilla. It has additional offices in Bogota, Buga, and Cartagena. Yara’s Cartagena production sites are located in two separate locations 700 meters from each other, referred as the “North Site” and “South Site” in the Mamonal industrial zone, 11 km south of Cartagena, Colombia. In the early 60s, the complex was part of the state-owned oil refinery. Later on, it was privatized and expanded to meet fertilizer market demands. Yara Colombia S.A. operates as a subsidiary of Yara International ASA.
