Electro World S.R.O. is a major multichannel retailer specializing in the sale of consumer electronics, computing and telecommunications equipment, household appliances, and related accessories, as well as providing associated services. The company entered the Czech market in 2002 with the opening of its first large-format store in the Metropole Zličín shopping center in Prague. In the beginning of the 2014-2015 financial year, Electro World became owned by Nay a.s., the operator of the largest retail chain for consumer electronics and household appliances in the Slovak Republic, NAY Eletrodom. This merger created a significant regional entity with great potential for future development. As of April 1, 2021, Electro World has also taken over the rebranded branches of the K+B Expert network, increasing the number of its physical stores from 19 to the current 40 locations.
