Ferona, a.s. operates on the market of the wholesale purchase, storage, processing and sales of metallurgical equipment and products, sale of derived metallurgical products (mashes, wires, electrodes etc.), hardware products and nonferrous metals. Ferona has been selling metallurgical products on the Czech and Slovak market for almost 200 years. During the privatization, which took place in the year 1995, Ferona a.s. became a private company, owned mainly by the top management. Ten years later, in 2004, 100% of the company shares were purchased by the UK investor IRG.
