Egypt Free Shops Co. S.A.E. (Egypt)

Egypt Free Shops Company (EFSCO) is an Egyptian company, headquartered in Cairo. The company was established in 1997. mainly imports and sells duty free goods in Egypt. At the beginning the company was part of the Egyptian institution specializing in sales of all duty free goods. After its separation it became a public sector company supervised by the government; then, in 1997 it was privatized and is now regulated by the private sector law (number 159/1981). Egypt Free Shops Company is one of very few companies entitled to import and sell duty free goods in Egypt, alcohol (aperitifs, beer, brandy, champagne, wine, liqueurs and rum and other products); tobacco (cigarette brands, pipe tobacco and cigars); perfumes (brands such as Adidas, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Hugo Boss and Escada); cosmetics (hair care and skin care products, make-up); confectionery (local and international confectionery products); electrical home appliances. The company's shares are currently publicly traded in Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges.
