Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company operates in the marine port services sector. The Company specializes in container and cargo handling in Egyptian ports. The company operates two major terminals, the first is the Alexandria container terminal at the port of Alexandria and the second is El Dekheila terminal at port of Dekheila. Alexandria terminal has 3 berths for container vessels and one berth for RO-RO vessels. El Dekheila terminal started operation in1996, with one berth which can accommodate 3 vessels at one time. Both terminals comprise of import and export yards, hazardous yard, operations building, security building, workshops, storage areas, customs areas and fuel stations. The company also offers other marine port services, such as land transportation of goods and containers, internal licensing arrangements and customs clearance. AAlexandria Container and Cargo Handling obtained the ISO9002 certificate in February 1998 and the ISO 9001-2000 QMS in 2003. It was also granted the certificate of Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series O.H.S.A.S- 180001/99 in year 2004. It was listed on Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange on 16/08/1995.
