El-Nasr Clothing and Textiles (Kabo) was established in 1940 and merged with several companies to be nationalized at a later stage. In 1997, it was fully privatized with 92.98% of its shares sold. " Kabo is considered one of the largest firms working in the field of under and outerwear in the middle east and worldwide. It produces over 40 million pieces of under- and outwear anually, which are manufactured with homegrown Egyptian cotton and marketed under international brands including Jil, Kabo and Super Kabo. The company exports a large part of its production to Europe (Germany, England, France, Denmark, Sweden), USA, Canada and other Arab countries, particularly in the Gulf. It was listed on Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange on 08/02/1995.
