PT Bank DBS Indonesia (DBS Indonesia or the Bank) was established on June 30, 1989, under the name of PT Bank Mitsubishi Buana, a joint venture company between Mitsubishi Bank Ltd., and PT Bank Buana Indonesia. In 1997, DBS Bank Ltd. acquired the shares of Mitsubishi Bank Ltd. in PT Bank Mitsubishi Buana and changed the Bank’s name to PT Bank DBS Buana. Then, in October 2000, the Bank’s name changed to PT Bank DBS Indonesia. DBS Indonesia is a subsidiary of DBS Bank Ltd., headquartered and listed in Singapore. As at the end of 2018, DBS Indonesia owned 52 branch offices in 16 major cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Makassar, Manado, Bali, Pontianak, Samarinda, Balikpapan dan Tangerang). DBS Indonesia provides comprehensive banking services for corporations, SMEs, and consumer banking activities. On December 31, 2018, DBS Indonesia is supported by 2,858 employees.
