Established by approval of Minister of Finance on March 18, 1969, the Bank is located at Deutsche Bank Building, Jl. Imam Bonjol 80 in Jakarta. It operations comprised of Jakarta and Surabaya branch offices. The legal status of Deutsche Bank AG – Surabaya Branch is that of a sub-branch of Deutsche Bank AG – Jakarta Branch. As an unincorporated branch of Deutsche Bank AG, the Bank in Indonesia is ultimately part of the Deutsche Bank Group, which has employees in 72 countries throughout the world. Additionally the Group also has 2 associated subsidiaries (1) PT Deutsche Securities Indonesia which is a registered broker and underwriter in the capital market and (2) PT Deutsche Verdhana Indonesia which is research and sales entity in the local capital market. There are two businesses in Deutsche Bank Indonesia (1) Global Markets and (2) Global Transaction Banking. As of 11 June 2018, the Bank has closed the Surabaya branch office.
