PT Novartis Indonesia is engaged in pharmaceutical industry. The Company is also supported by two research laboratories called ‘NEHCRI’ (Novartis-Eijkman-Hasanuddin Research Initiative) in RS. Wahidin, Makassar, South Sulawesi, and Eijkman Institute in Jakarta. These two laboratories focus on the development of medicines for tropical diseases: dengue fever or Demam Berdarah (DB) and Tuberculosis (TBC). The Company’s activities include production of pharmaceutical raw materials, formulation of finished medicine, general distribution and export import. The Company produces variety of pharmaceutical medicines, either OTC (over the counter) and ethical, or semi OTC medicines. The Company also owns a vaccination division, which specifically produces vaccines.
