Sri Vijaya Visakha Milk Producers Company Limited, also known as Visakha Dairy, is a dairy manufacturing company located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1973 under the Co-operative Societies Act and started its dairy plant in 1977 with a handling capacity of 50,000 liters per day. In 1999, it was converted into a mutually aided cooperative union under the MACS Act. Later, in 2006, it became a producer company under the Companies Act 1956. Visakha Dairy operates two plants in Visakhapatnam and Rangampeta, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and ISO 22000:2018 certified. The plants have a combined capacity of handling up to 9 lakh liters per day. The company manufactures various dairy products such as fresh milk, UHT milk, curd, butter milk, yogurt, milkshakes, flavored milk, ghee, paneer, butter, skimmed milk powder, sweets, and bakery items. These products are sold in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Chattisgarh markets. Visakha Dairy has established training centers to provide farmers with training on clean milk programs, nutritional aspects, fodder requirements, and animal health care. It has also set up veterinary health centers, mobile veterinary service vehicles, and cattle feed plants to support animal health and breed development. The company has constructed bulk milk cooling centers and a milk powder plant to improve quality and reduce spoilage. Additionally, it has aseptic packing stations for UHT milk production and a solar power plant for renewable energy usage. Visakha Dairy employs over 1500 direct employees and provides medical facilities, education, and infrastructure development through its welfare trust. The company aims to procure 10 lakh liters of milk per day and achieve a turnover of Rs. 2000 crores by 2025.
