Glass wool co. of iran ( GWCL ) , the manufacturer of various thermal& sound glass fiber insulation and water proofing bitumen membrane , was founded in Tehran & shiraz � iran in 1964 based on TEL process and know how of U.S.A..
A fter a 37 year period of continuous production of insulation , because of the increase in supply the market with higher quality & quantity , Gwcl planned to set up a ehabilitation project in late 2001 purchased German machinery & technology which led to installation of a modern production line with the production capacity of 10,000 ton / year of glass fiber insulation in shiraz plant . The plant also produces 5,000,000 sqm / year of water proofing bitumen membrane .
Regarding to the obtained development on glass fiber production , Glass wool co . of Iran have been succeeded in rehabilitation project of production line in 2004, by utilizing world current technology, its well experienced expert personels, and cooperating with a good standing German company for providing some parts of machinery and needed services. So increasing of products capacity, and promotion of products quality have been achieved as well.
According to the market demands for special kinds of water proofing bitumen membrane Glass wool co . of Iran decided to establish a modern factory in which the whole parts of production line have been designed and fabricated by a famouse German company . The factory started its production in 2004 in Eshtehard industrial Towm and will be a new approach in water proofing bitumen membrane production Which is producing more than 40 years by Glass woll co. of Iran with the wellknown brand of Isugum.
To provide the market with a wide range of various water proofing membrane , GWCI imported modern machinery and high technology with the production capacity of 10,000.000 sqm / year from Europe in middle of 2003 and founded a new plant in Tehran suburbs . GWCI has tried to keep up with modern quality management systems and increase customer satisfaction by obtaining Iso 9002 & Iso 14001 certificates and managing the system accordingly . The company has got a flexible system of production and its R&D Dept. leads the company to cover any requested insulation . To check and assure the product quality we have got a well equipped lab. and Q. A Dept . in which high educated personnel are working .
Besides , our Sales Engineering Dept . technically supports the customers and gives them excellent after sale services.
