Iran Khodro Investment Development Company (IKIDO) has started its activities since 1999 with the goal of improving the IKCO's affiliated companies to enlarge their capacities and provide auto spare parts and other related modules for the production line with investment insight.
The necessity of the participation in domestic and international money and capital markets has motivated IKIDO to diversify its economic activities. In this respect, it has changed its name since 2003 from Iran Khodro Industries Development Co. (private joint stock) to Iran Khodro Investment Development Company (public joint stock). The main focus of these activities is to monitor and control industrial affiliated companies' strategies. The new aim of the indicated strategy, "resource management" has helped IKIDO to participate in economic and industrial activities as a holding company with the nature of investment in industrial activities, creating value added chain for Iran Khodro
