Isfahan Zinc Smelting Company Public Joint Stock (Iran)

The main activity of the company is exploration, extraction and exploitation of mines and production of zinc ingots, construction of related factories and performing all commercial operations related to the company s activities.
The Company products exeed 15000 tons per year . The Zinc smelting process is hydrometalurgy and the Production process consists of four parts : Concentrate production , Leaching , Electrowining , Melting and Diecasting . Zinc Ingots are usually used in. Galvanizing Industry , also in casting , AlloyZinc , Dust and Battery industry.
The Company was established as a Private joint stock Company under registration number 13995 on 8 July 1998.
The Company started its activity on 15 January 1999.
The Company changed its Legal address and its registration number to be 667 on 9 May 2000
The Company changed its Legal Form to be Public joint stock Company on 16 March 2019
The Company was listed in Iran Fara Bourse on 4 November 2019.
Linch
The Linch unit that is managed in four shifts , operates to produce Zinc sulfate solution
Containing Zinc sulphide where the percentage of impurities is minimized .
Linch Operations are carried out in three stages :
A) Dissolving or leaching
B) Hot Purification
C) Cold Purification
After cold hot purification , the resulting solution of Zinc sulfate is free of impurities . It is called Makeup , It is then analysed and the quality control unit ensures the absence of interfering elements added to the electrolysis unit .
Electrolysis
The Unit of electrolysis consists of 120 cells , Each cell contains 25 rows of anode and cathode sheets ,The Zinc sulfate solution
flows to the cathode plate of ZN 2 + , decomposes and Zinc sheet occurs on cathod sheets . The Zinc sheets are cut out . from cathode plates every 24 hours and after weighing are delivered to melting and casting unit .
Melting Casting
Sheets produced by the electrolysis unit are transferred to the furnace at temperatures between 450 to500 °C and are delivered to consumer . market in the form of 25 kg or 1 ton Ingots
Quality Control
The laboratory unit is equipped with three atomic absorption , Spectrophotometer and Ion meter which have the ability of measuring elements (Zinc , Lead ,Copper , Cadmium , Cobalt , Iron , Manganese , Nickel , Magnesium , Silver and Silica ) .
By performing analysis through all steps of production , the laboratoy unit has the responsibility of quality control .
