The main activity of CET-Nord is the production and distribution of thermal and electric energy to consumers. The practical use of steam used to power the electric generators is the specific feature of the thermal power plants. In December 1956 the first turbine generator with the capacity of 4 MW and the steam boiler №1 with the productivity of 20 t/h was put into operation. In 2004 all distribution connections were equipped with electronic counters for the commercial calculation of electric and thermal energy. In 2007 a metrological laboratory building was built with modern equipment installed for the verification of the thermal energy consumption meters.
