NLB Montenegrobanka, which is part of Slovenia's largest bank, Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), is one of the leading lenders in the Adriatic coast republic of Montenegro. It is a successor of Montenegro Banka, the oldest commercial bank in the republic. The bank's range of retail banking products includes residential mortgage loans, lines of credit and other consumer loans, credit cards, checking accounts, savings accounts and time deposits. Its corporate banking services include commercial loans, including working capital facilities and trade finance, foreign exchange, capital market services and cash management services. In July 2003, Slovenia's largest bank, Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), acquired a 92% stake in Montenegro Banka for EUR 11.1 million. In April 2005, NLB bought 80.3% of the fifth-largest bank in Montenegro, Euromarket Banka. At the beginning of 2006, NLB merged its two banks in the republic forming NLB Montenegrobanka AD.
