Macedonian private commercial bank Postenska Banka was established in 1925. Twenty years later the bank - then called Postenska Stedilnica - was merged with the savings services of the Yugoslav central bank only to be restored as a separate entity 16 years later.In June 1992, Postenska Banka launched independent operations in the capital Skopje after spinning off from Serbian bank Postanska Stedionica.In 2001, Postenska Stedilnica was transformed into Postenska Banka. In May 2005, local commercial bank Eurostandard Banka took over 66.6% in Postenska Banka and is currently its majority owner. Postenska Banka executes its payments in the country via 320 terminals natiowide.
