Emirates NBD PJSC (ENBD) was incorporated in the United Arab Emirates on 16 July 2007 under the Commercial Companies Law as a Public Joint Stock Company. ENBD was established mainly in order to give effect to the merger between Emirates Bank International PJSC and National Bank of Dubai PJSC. The Company acts as holding company of both EBI and NBD. The Company`s main business activity is investment holding. The Company is primarily engaged in the provision of corporate, consumer, treasury and investment banking and asset management services across the Gulf region and abroad. The ultimate parent of the Group is Investment Corporation of Dubai, a company in which the Government of Dubai is the majority shareholder.
