Oman Air (Oman)

Oman Air is an Omani closed joint-stock company and the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman. Since 2013 it has been holding a number of international awards for leading business and economy class, acknowledged regionally and globally. The company was established in 1993 with the primary objective to promote the Sultanate of Oman as a must-see destination and, in the following years, it became an important contributor to turning the capital of the country into a regional traffic centre and tourist destination. The company’s fleet contains 47 brand new Boeing 737s, Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus 330s. Yearly, the company operates nearly 31,000 round trips transporting over 7 million passengers. It also provides cargo transportation services. Oman Air runs own pilot and cabin crew training institution, called Oman Air Flight Training Centre (OAFTC). Among other activities, it provides catering services to other carriers, such as the British Airways. The carrier’s personnel accounts for over 7,600 employees.
