Corporacion Aceros Arequipa, was founded in December 1997, the result of the merger between Aceros Arequipa SA and Aceros Calibrados S.A. The company is engaged in the manufacture of corrugated iron, wire rods for construction, steel bars and other products sold in the country, and to a lesser extent, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and the North American market. The 100% of its products are intended to Metal Engineering, civil and metalwork, for it has two floors of steel and rolled in the city of Pisco and the city of Arequipa.
