Exalmar Pesquera S.A. is an Exalmar Group fishing company dedicated to the processing and commercialization of fish meal and fish oil. The company began operations in 1992 with just one plant. A few years later, in 1995 it acquired its second factory. The following year, it acquired Huacho Peru S.A. after its privatization. In 1998 Exalmar put into operation its fourth plant. Finally, in 2006 it acquired a 100% stake in Pesquera Cabo Peñas (and also the assets of Corporación Pesquera San Francisco) and in 2007 it purchased 50% of total shares of Corporación del Mar (CORMAR).
