Alpha Bank in Romania was founded in 1994 under the brand name of "Banca Bucuresti". 1998 - The leasing company of the Group is created, currently named Alpha Leasing Romania IFN. The Group's strategic consulting and Assistance Company is set up, currently Alpha Advisory Romania. At the beginning of 2000, "Banca Bucuresti" is renamed Alpha Bank Romania in order to emphasize its membership to the Group. Bucharest Investment Group Brokerage becomes Alpha Finance Romania. As part of the development strategy of the bank in Greece, its subsidiary in Romania set up specialized companies such as Alpha Insurance, Alpha Leasing, Alpha Advisory, Alpha Finance, and Danube Fund, to provide services in the line markets. Today the Bank offers a wide spectrum of products and services for individuals and corporations through a network of branches located in Bucharest and in other cities.
