Bega Turism SA was set up in 1991. It was established when SC Banatul SA was turned into SC Turism Banatul SA. And in 2003 it became SC Bega Turism SA. In 1991 the privatization started when the Ministry of Tourism sold it's stake of 329.161 shares. In January 2005 Bega Turism merged through absorption with SC Metacom SA Timisoara, Metacom being the absorbed company. Following this merge, Bega Turism started the real estate rental activity. In July 2007 it merged through absorption with SC Dermatina SA Timisoara, Dermatina being the absorbed company. The main activity of Bega Turism is Hotels and similar accommodation. It owns three hotels: Hotel Timisoara (3 stars) and Hotel Nord (2 stars), both placed in Timisoara; As of September 2015, Bega Turism SA operates as a subsidiary of Bega Electromotor SA Timisoara.
