SC Bermas SA was founded in 1974 as a production department of alcohol, beer. After several stages of development SC Bermas SA was established under that name as a joint stock company in 1992. The company has four manufacturing sectors: malt; boil (getting wort), fermentation and bottling. Company shares are admitted to the Bucharest Stock Excahne, trading since 16 April 1998, assigned the symbol BRM. In July 2007 STK Financial Cluj society has acquired a 7.05% stake Bermas Suceava worth 1.7 million euros. Currently, the company is fully privatized, with Romanian capital, the only plant in the brewing industry that has continued to work on the old technical and technological structure.
