HeidelbergCement Romania SA is one of the leading cement producers in Romania. The company was founded in 2004 by German group HeidelbergCement, through the merger of management Carpatcement Romania SRL and cement plants owned it: Bicaz, Deva and Fieni. During 1998 - 2002, were purchased three cement plants, making it the market leader in Romania. HeidelbergCement Romania SA had in 2011 a turnover of about 187 million. Carpatcement Holding currently has approximately 870 employees (66 forms the administrative team in Bucharest, 333 are employees of the plant in Fieni, 237 and 239 of Bicaz factory are employees of the plant in Deva).
