Since the privatization of OMV Petrom SA in 2004, OMV Petrom Gas SRL is one of the most important suppliers on the liberalized Romanian gas market. OMV Petrom Gas is a major supplier of natural gas on the Romanian market for industrial and commercial customers since 1999, one of the leading suppliers of natural gas with 30% market share of natural gas in Romania (according to ANRE). The company is part of OMV Petrom and OMV Group. Since February 2010, all the marketing and supply of natural gas within OMV Petrom were consolidated into OMV Petrom Gas.
