S.C. Orange România S.A. provides local telecommunications services to Romanian customers. The company was established in April 1997, as a stock company under the name Mobil Rom. The brand name of the network was Dialog. April 16, 2000 - France Telecom, main shareholder of Mobil Rom, acquires Orange and decides to reunite all its mobile operations under the name of Orange Romania. In April 2002, Mobil Rom changed its name into Orange Romania. As of May 13, 2005, Orange România SA operates as a subsidiary of Orange Holding SA Orange Romania is the largest telecom player on the local market by turnover, net profit and number of customers. Company was ranked among the most valuable companies in Romania, with a value of 2.31 billion EU, 19% less from the previous year.
