Rafo SA Onesti is one of the largest refineries in Romania. The construction process of the refinery begun in 1955. In 1990, Rafo has separated from Combinatul Petrochimic Borzesti, and in 1991 the company transformed into public limited company. In 2004, the company became insolvent. At that moment, Rafo was the largest debtor to the stat. The insolvency procedure has ended in July 2010. Rafo SA shares are traded on Bucharest Stock Echange, under "unlisted" category.
