Societatea Nationala de Transport Feroviar de Calatori - CFR – Calatori is a state company which operates under the authority of the Ministry of Transportation. In 2012 was approved the merger of CFR Calatori, as the acquiring company, with CFR Gevaro SA, Voiaj SA, SCAD Brasov SA. The company consists of eight rail passenger regional branches - SRTFC Bucuresti, SRTFC Brasov, SRTFC Cluj, SRTFC Craiova, SRTFC Constanta, SRTFC Galati, SRTFC Iasi si SRTFC Timisoara. CFR Calatori is an economic operator, with state capital, licensed for carrying out public passenger transport services by rail. CFR Calatori is a leader in the passenger railway transportation market in Romania.
