Timken Romania SA company was founded in 1991. Timken Romania is currently the second largest producer of bearings in Romania after turnover after corporation owned by Ina Schaeffler factory in Brasov, where about 3,300 people work. Timken Group is present locally in 1997 when it took over from the State Property Fund (SPF) 70% of the shares of heavy bearings Ploiesti, in a transaction of approximately 40 million.
