In 1991 was founded Regia Autonoma De Transport Public Ploiesti RA (RATCP Prahova). And in 1995 the company goes in Ploiesti Municipality Local Council, titled Autonomous Public Transport Ploiesti (RATP Ploiesti). In 1997 the first section is put into use trolleybuses in Ploiesti, on the West - Downtown, followed four years later by the second section which links the city center to the south of Ploiesti city. In 2003 we have purchased another 15 buses, the rest is up to 50 pieces currently being purchased. In addition there were eight trams Bought KT4-D (second hand) in Germany.
