RN Holding is a leading Russian oil company and is among the top ten privately-owned oil companies in the world in terms of crude oil production. The company was established in 2003 as a result of the merger of BP’s Russian oil and gas assets and the oil and gas assets of Alfa, Access/Renova group (AAR). BP and AAR each own 50% of TNK-BP. The shareholders of RN Holding (TNK-BP) also own close to 50% of Gazprom Neft OAO. TNK-BP is a vertically integrated oil company with a diversified upstream and downstream portfolio in Russia and Ukraine. The company’s upstream operations are located primarily in West Siberia (Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Districts, Tyumen Region), East Siberia (Irkutsk Region), and Volga-Urals (Orenburg Region). TNK has signed a long-term transportation agreement with Gazprom granting 6-year access to the pipeline system for Rospan (up to 13.2 bln cubic meters a year in 2016). The agreement provides a foundation on which to build the full field development plan of Rospan - one of the core projects in the company’s asset portfolio. In March 2013 Rosneft Oil Company has acquired 100% of TNK-BP (TNK-BP International Limited) from BP and AAR. Few months later, the shareholders of TNK-BP Holding (TBH) approved at an annual meeting a new version of the charter according to which TNK-BP Holding OAO is renamed to RN Holding OAO.
