Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company is a Saudi joint stock company founded in 2007. It is engaged in underwriting various types of insurance business based on the principles of cooperative insurance under the supervise of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) - the principal agency responsible for the application and administration of the insurance act and its implementing. Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company (ASCI) also engaged in the provision of cooperative insurance and reinsurance. The Company's activity goes back to the beginning of 1998 when the company entered the Saudi market as a Bahraini Company. The Company has completed its licensing procedures & obtained final license from SAMA on 11/09/2007 to transact general and medical insurances. The company started its operations in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a Saudi joint stock company on 01/01/2009.
