BCI was established in 1973 and since then operates in the chemicals industry. The Company, together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture of chemical products, including liquefied chlorine gas, caustic soda (liquid and flakes), hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite. BCI Group operates through five subsidiaries, namely Chemical Marketing and Distribution Company, which is the marketing arm of BCI Group for both manufactured and traded products; Saudi Water Treatment Company, which is a manufacturer of performance chemical products for water treatment; Basic Chemical National Company, which produces sulfuric and battery acid; Arabian Polyol Company Ltd, which produces rigid polyurethane systems, and National Adhesives Ltd, which manufactures industrial aqueous emulsion and hot melt adhesives.
