Al Methal for Microfinance Services is a Sudanese company, set up in 2010 to offer microfinance services to small and medium sized enterprises, professionals and craftsmen. It has been operative since 2011 after receiving the final approval by the government authorities to act as a consortium performing credit activities without accepting deposits. The Sudanese Company for Development of Microfinance is the major shareholder with 41.7% of the company’s equity, along with a number of associations and civil organizations.
