Slovenia-based Kompas MTS d.d. was established in 1951 as a company providing transition services for passengers and goods crossing national borders. It completed its transformation into a shareholders company in 1995.
The services Kompas MTS d.d. offers include currency exchange and payment transactions, freight forwarding, insurance brokerage, refunding sales tax or value added tax, catering, accommodation and retail services.
Kompas MTS d.d., which is traded on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), has operations in central Slovenia as well as at 23 major international road crossings with Italy, Austria and Croatia.
Kompas MTS d.d. has five wholly-owned subsidiaries, including Kompas Shop d.o.o., Kompas Terra d.o.o., Kompas Jelsane Vstop d.o.o. Kompas Kozina d.o.o. and Kompas Lipica. Kompas Jelsane Vstop d.o.o. was in bankruptcy proceedings in 2010.
Kompas MTS d.d. also holds a minority stake in Regal – Trgovina d.o.o.
