OBAL-SERVIS, a.s. Košice provides services in the area of packaging of ready products determined for transportation by road and rail as well as by sea, river and air, deals with the production of wooden transportation packaging (pallets, crates) in compliances transportation regulations (quality certificate, phyto certificate, wood sterilisation in accordance with ISPM No. 15) and sales of packaging materials which protect goods against the influence of weather (corrosion, ...) and provides service of machinery designed for packaging and handling goods - taping and packaging technology, forklift trucks, small transportation technology, ... The company was established as a specialised firm for the packaging of metal sheets of the former company, VSŽ a.s. (since 2000, U. S. Steel Košice s.r.o.) and on 1 July 1992, commenced its activities in cold rolling division of VSŽ a.s. Activities gradually expanded to also include ot! her divisions. In 2004 the company became a 100% subsidiary of U. S. Steel Košice s.r.o. Since 1999, the company has a certified system of quality management, an environmental management system (2006) and a health and safety management system (HASAW) (2007). In 2008, the Ministry of Employment, Social Affairs and Family awarded the company the Certificate of "SAFE COMPANY", which confirms that the company has adopted an effective safety management and protection of health at work system.
