STEFE Banska Bystrica, a.s. is the largest producer and supplier of heat in Banska Bystrica, Brusno, and Kovacova. It supplies heat to approximately 60,000 residents of Banska Bystrica. In addition to heat production and supply to end users, the company also produces and supplies electricity to the distribution network. The production and distribution of heat and electricity are carried out in accordance with the decisions of the Office for Regulation of Network Industries, permit number 2006T 0115 for heat production and distribution, and permit number 2006E 0158 for electricity production, in accordance with the provisions of Act No. 657/2004 Coll. and Act No. 656/2004 Coll. Since 2015, the company has also been providing energy services to its customers, focusing on efficient heat production and supply, such as the construction of new heat-technical facilities, their operation, service, maintenance, and comprehensive reconstruction.
