Eurobus, a.s. (Slovakia)

Eurobus, a.s. is a company located in Kosice, Slovakia. It was established in 1952 as part of the nationwide organization ČSAD, which was managed by the Central Directorate of ČSAD in Prague. In 1953, the ČSAD Košice regional enterprise was created, and in 1960, it became a national enterprise. After the division of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the company's management was transferred to the Ministry of Transport in Bratislava, and it was renamed to Slovenská autobusová doprava, štátny podnik - SAD, š.p. In 1995, the company was restructured, and the state-owned enterprise Slovenská autobusová doprava Košická dopravná spoločnosť Košice was established. In 2001, the company was privatized and renamed to eurobus, a.s. Eurobus provides public road passenger transport services, including urban, suburban, long-distance, international, and excursion routes. The company operates 350 buses in various configurations. Its buses can be found on urban and suburban routes in Spišská Nová Ves and Rožňava, as well as on regional and international routes throughout Slovakia and Europe.
