G Steel Public Company Limited, located in Bangkok, Thailand, was founded in 1995 by Dr. Somsak Leeswadtrakul, a prominent figure in the steel industry with over 40 years of experience. The company is a producer and distributor of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC), which is used as raw material for various downstream industries such as cold-rolled coils, galvanized steel, steel pipe, structural steel products, LPG containers, automobiles, electrical appliances, and steel furniture. Equipped with advanced technology, G Steel's HRC mill has a production capacity of 1.8 million tons per year, with plans to increase it to 3.4 million tons. The mill is capable of producing HRC with a thickness as low as 1.0 mm, making it one of the few mills in the world with this capability. The company is currently undergoing a de-bottlenecking investment plan to increase production capacity and introduce new production lines for high-quality products. The construction and installation of these lines are expected to be completed in 2007. G Steel operates in the manufacturing of flat-rolled steel products segment and has subsidiaries engaged in investment holdings and special-purpose restructuring activities. The company's plant is located in Bankhai district, Rayong province, approximately 175 kilometers from Bangkok.
