Founded in 1984 by Sait Akarlılar, Erak doon became the leading blue jeans manufacturer in Turkey under the leadership of its founder who had started his first ready to wear manufacturing business in 1960 when he was only 20.
Owing to its advanced technology and know-how, Erak has served such world famouus brands such as Armani, Calvin Klein, Eddi Bauer, Ermengildo Zegna, Escada, Espirit, FCUK, Guess, K+L Ruppert, Mustang, Rifle, S.Oliver, Street One, Tommy Hilfiger and many others including Mavi Jeans.
Erak has regularly been among the first 500 industy houses of Turkey with the highest turn over, ranking 239th in 2005.
Erak has two manufacturing plants with an annual total capacity of eleven million pieces made of mainly denim and other fabrics such as canvas, velvet and poplin.
