Mutlu Aku was established in 1945, as part of Mutlu Holding and first company of the group. In the beginning the company operated mainly in the import and export fields and started manufacturing batteries in 1955. Batteries, main raw materials, crystal glass, paint and ceramics, lead oxides such as red lead and litharge are manufactured at the Tepeoren, Tuzla facilities. The recycling center for disposed batteries is located in Kutahya, Gediz. With Its facilities located on 230,000 sq.m, Mutlu Batteries is among the biggest battery manufacturers in Turkey, Middle East and Eastern Europe.
