RTA Laboratuvarlari Biyolojik Urunler Ilac Ve Makine Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Sirketi is a company located in Kocaali, Sakarya. It was incorporated in 1996 and initially entered the industry by distributing Merial poultry vaccines in Kadıköy, Istanbul. In 2001, the company began investing in research and development (R&D) by supporting a project from TÜBİTAK. In 2002, RTA moved to its current location in Gebze Plastikçiler Organize Sanayi Bölgesi and established an R&D laboratory suitable for molecular biology-genetics and immunology-serology-based studies. In 2004, the company set up laboratories and clean areas for R&D and production of medical and industrial biotechnology products. RTA introduced its first products under the RTA brand in the same year. The company started its export activities in 2013 and went public with 34% of its shares held by a biotechnology company in 2014. RTA maintains close relationships with the scientific community, industrial firms, clinics, universities, and research institutions in its field. In 2017, the company was awarded the R&D Center certificate by the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology of Turkey. In 2018, RTA Laboratuvarlari was acquired by Güler Yatırım A.Ş. and continues its R&D and production activities under its ownership. In 2019, the company gained momentum and strength in both the diagnostic and life sciences marketing activities through its subsidiary, A1 Yaşam Bilimleri A.Ş.
