The company was established in 1979 and in 1993 became the first construction company listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. In addition to the finished projects in Turkey, overseas contracts have also been undertaken and completed in Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Georgia, Latvia, Russia, Libya and Saudi Arabia. Yesil Yapi Endustrisi is now engaged with superstructure and infrastructure projects in Turkey, Africa and Middle East.
