Established in Jan. 1966, Chien Tai Cement Co., Ltd issued its stock in Jan. 1979 and got listed in Dec. 1987. But later due to his loss in the operations, it was forced to stop exchanging its stock. On Oct. 20, 2007, it was changed to be Counter Exchanging Management Stocks which avoids the fate of being out of the stock market. 1. Operating overview: Firstly it was mainly engaged in the production of cement, establishing its own "double elephant" brand exported to Southeast Asia. After Year 1998, the development of this industry was restricted. It began to operate the business in department stores and construction. At the half year of 1998, the company loaned 2 billion to invest in the business of construction and department stores. In 2000, Chairman Chen You Hao and his Group had financial crisis, leading to the restricted capital of the bank. Because of Dongdishi Group, it owed to CITIC bank and other banks. On Dec. 31, 1999, it entered into the business of department stores. Due the difficulty in operation , it stopped the operation. And on Jan. 1, 2001, the technological cooperation of over three years between the company and Japan Dazhuwan Company was ended. The original name Jiantai Dawan Department Stores were renamed as Jiantai Department Stores. The main business for 2006: department store accounting for 79%, construction 15%, cement 6%. 2 Directors and Supervisors: There are 4 directors and 2 supervisors (base date 2007/08/09), holding 6% of the stock, which was mostly held by Dongdishi Group, taking 2 seats of directors and 1 seat of supervisor, holding 5% of the stock.
